HISTORY

The Slate River Corporation has extensive business experience and technical expertise which has allowed us to structure ourselves into a rapidly growing provider of Training. The Slate River Corporation was established in 2004 providing business consulting services to small start up companies and designing, manufacturing and delivering single small prototype training aids. At the beginning of FY06 we began to receive larger and more complex orders for training aids and by mid third quarter FY06, we have become the preferred provider of the standard Damage Control Training Aids for the entire Surface and Submarine Fleets. This has put us in the position to be the most current in understanding the training requirements necessary to optimize the utilization of these training aids in the Fleet and to develop the business relationships and financial resources to continue reasonable sustainable growth.

Since inception we have quadrupled our shop size by recently constructing a design and manufacturing facility near Lynchburg, Virginia. Our manufacturing equipment is modern, for the most part state-of-the-art, well maintained and replacements are readily available at reasonable prices which ensures negligible work stoppage due to equipment failure. Our manufacturing processes are purposely kept simple and are easily taught to entry level personnel. All these qualities give us flexibility to meet delivery schedule or surge requirements.

The Slate River Corporation maintains an extensive network of technical professionals and tradespersons who are highly qualified and experienced in the fields of HM&E technical services, manufacturing processes, Naval Engineering, Naval Damage Control, Engineering Emergency Response, and Chemical, Biological, Radiological Defense (CBR-D). This network of professionals, combined with The Slate River Corporation’s team of subcontractors and material suppliers, gives us a significant surge capability to meet any expanding or urgent customer requirements.
